LegalRes is an AI research and drafting workspace for Indian law, currently in beta. This page explains what we collect, why, who else handles it, and how to have it removed. We don’t sell your data or show ads.
What we collect
Your account. Your name, email address and sign-in details, handled by our sign-in provider, Clerk.
What you create. Research questions and the answers and sources returned; drafts and their versions; matters, calendar dates and notes; ratings, “wrong citation” reports and messages you send through Send feedback; your Bolt conversations on judgments.
Visits. We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you; it tells us which pages are used and from which kind of device.
Settings in your browser. Choices such as theme, Q&A or Research, and whether to highlight judgments are saved in your browser only, not on our servers.
How it is used
To run the service: to answer your questions, keep your sessions and drafts, and show them back to you. Ratings and feedback are read by the LegalRes team to improve answers; they are reviewed without your name.
Repeated questions. When someone asks a first question that was asked before, we may show the earlier answer instead of researching again. Such stored answers are kept without any link to who asked them, and contain only public case law and the question’s wording — so avoid putting client names or confidential facts into a question.
Who else processes it
To answer a question, its text and excerpts of the judgments found are sent to:
- AI model providers that write and check the answer — Google (Gemini), Groq, Cerebras and OpenRouter;
- Indian Kanoon, to search and fetch Indian case law;
- Clerk, for sign-in; and our hosting and database providers (Vercel, and Turso in Mumbai), where your data is stored.
Each processes the data under its own terms. Some AI providers may keep requests for a limited time for abuse monitoring. Do not enter information you are not permitted to share with such services.
Sharing
Your workspace is private to your account. If you create a share link for a research session or a draft, anyone with that link can read it until you turn sharing off.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data is kept while your account is active. Deleting a research session or draft removes it. To delete your account and everything in it, email aryan220204@gmail.com or use Send feedback in the account menu, and we will remove it.
Not legal advice
LegalRes is an AI-assisted research tool. Its answers can be wrong or incomplete; verify every authority against the judgment before relying on it.
