Terms of use
Last updated 13 October 2026
These terms apply when you use LegalRes — the website, your workspace, and the LegalRes connector inside AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT. By using LegalRes you agree to them. LegalRes is in beta and is free to use for now.
Not legal advice
LegalRes is a research and drafting tool for legal professionals and students. It does not give legal advice, and using it does not create an advocate–client relationship with anyone.
Its answers are produced with AI and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date: a case may be missed, misread, or overruled after our records were made. Read every authority in full and check the current law before you rely on it, file it or advise on it. You remain responsible for your own professional judgment.
Your account
You need an account to use the workspace. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what is done through your account. Tell us at aryan220204@gmail.com if you think someone else has used it.
Your content
What you write and create — questions, drafts, matters, notes and calendar entries — stays yours. You allow us to store and process it only to run LegalRes for you, as described in the Privacy policy, including sending it to the AI and search providers listed there.
Only enter client information you are permitted to share with such services, and keep your own professional duties of confidentiality in mind. If you share a research session or draft by link, anyone with the link can read it until you turn sharing off.
Fair use
Please don’t:
- copy or download the case law or our tables in bulk, by scraping, automated queries or otherwise;
- resell LegalRes, its answers or its data, or build a competing service from them;
- try to get around usage limits, sign-in or other protections, or disrupt the service; or
- use LegalRes for anything unlawful, or to mislead a court or anyone else.
We may limit or suspend access that breaks these terms or puts the service at risk.
Sources
Judgments and other material come from public sources, including Indian Kanoon and the published judgments of the Supreme Court of India, and remain subject to their own terms. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
Availability and changes
LegalRes is provided as it is during the beta. Features may change, be limited or be withdrawn, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you before anything is charged.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, LegalRes is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on its answers or drafts, or from the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
Ending your use
You can stop using LegalRes at any time and ask us to delete your account at aryan220204@gmail.com. We may close accounts that break these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
Changes and contact
If these terms change, we will update the date above; continuing to use LegalRes means you accept the new terms. Questions or support: aryan220204@gmail.com.
